Prior to joining Right at Home, Gemma didn't have a professional care experience. It was obvious from her first day on induction, that this was the industry for her. Read her journey below.

"Having worked in hospitality prior to joining Right at Home, I'm naturally a people person. I was looking for a role where I felt more valued and with the opportunity of carer progression. When I joined the Right at Home team, although I didn't have any previous care experience I knew it was role for me. I attended a comprehensive induction, which provided me with lots of information and practical training. I began working as a caregiver and loved it so much after 6 months, I was given the opportunity to progress into a training role. I love my job as each day is different, new and exciting. I still visit my clients on a regular basis however, my main role is Training Coordinator.  I gained my Train the Trainer qualification and my L2 Teaching Qualification.  This allows me to train carers in medication, moving and assisting and basic life support.

In my spare time i 3 children that keep me very busy"
