An interview with Fred (the biggest Manchester United fan you could meet)

Tell us about your life?

I used to be in the army. After this I was an apprentice as a welder. I then took time out to be at home for family. 

I then returned to work as a man with a van and went into market trading, selling anything to make a profit. A bit of a wheeler and dealer some might say. I didn't specialize in selling one thing but multitude of things.

I traveled for 6 years and particularly enjoyed spending 2 months of the year on a friends boat in Turkey.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I really like my freedom at this moment in life and being able to getting to hold the the television remote control. I'm a huge fan of sport, and in particular Man U. I love being able to access to my tablet, social media and word games. I really enjoy keeping in touch with the world around me. Despite having a disability, I'm having a good end to my life..... Oh and I love toast and bananas!

What do think of Right at Home and your carers? 

“The company and the staff are perfect. The company I have just left, were a waste of space. Since moving to Right at Home Cheshire East, my life has improved 100%. I am able to have so many conversations!!!”
