Antonia
Care Assistant – The Care TeamI started out at eight years of age, I used to volunteer at my local Methodist Church and once a fortnight we would serve meals to the elderly residents of the community. We used to play games and have parties. That made me want to be a carer.
I'm carer as I like supporting people so they can live day to day in their own homes, This allows you to appreciate the little things in life that we all take for granted, looking after elderly clients is a unique challenge and very satisfying role. I am a very empathetic person that can provide physical and emotional support to my clients. I love my job as I can see that I’m making a difference to someone’s life, knowing that my care and companionship helps to get the person through the day is an incredibly rewarding feeling, I have been a carer for 12 years. I believe I was born to be a carer as I couldn’t find a more fitting job that suits my personality.
